Ashley Hayden, one of the Lady Rugga judges and a woman who has enjoyed over two decades at the top of her game in television, took us through a presenter workshop in the first session of our day at SuperSport.
After that we went immediately into make-up. From there into the famous SuperSport studios and we recorded live links to camera. Jessica and I played a game of Rock, Paper Scissors in order to determine which one of us would go first, she won.
Once we'd all recorded our links, we left straight away for Loftus where thousands of people just like us were stuck in traffic trying to get to the Bulls/Free State game.
We set to work as we got through the grounds and started doing field side interviews with fans from both sides. It was enormous fun - though challenging as you can imagine. All six of us had to perform optimally with each link we did to camera. Crowds are unpredictable and people will do the strangest things in the background of TV interviews and even stranger things when THEY are being interviewed.
There were a few surprises for us when we were at Loftus and it was a matter of taking it in our stride. It was fantastic to be walking around the stadium with Lady Rugga Producer Ryan, Cameraman Ryk and the other Lady Rugga finalists. The response to us from the crowds at Loftus is proof to me that Lady Rugga will be a successful campaign for women in rugby.
To the man who called out to me from the grandstand opposite the players' tunnel saying, "Tové you've got the best voice" - thank you so much for the affirmation!
The Lady Rugga finals are on Saturday 3 June - tune in to SuperSport to find out who is crowned the winner.
